Lex Schelvis

I have completed a study Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Leiden (MA) and obtained a qualification to teach Dutch to senior secondary pupils. I am also a Qualified teacher of Dutch as a second language.

After my University study in 1985 I started teaching Dutch to foreigners, and since 1987 this has been my full time job. I have specialized in organizing courses for highly educated foreigners who want to attain the level of the State exam NT2-2. At my institute I have developed and taught very fast courses for this target group. These courses have always been very successful: all these years 85 – 90% of the students have passed the State exam. I have experience with all relevant modern teaching materials for Dutch as a second language.

Frans van der Putten

I have completed an study Dutch Language and Literature at the University of Leiden (MA, with credit). In 1997 I have obtained a Ph.D. in the Humanities (Linguistics) at the same university. During my study, one of the topics I have concerned myself with was second language development.

I have been teaching Dutch to adult foreigners since 1984. During the last 20 years I have gained extensive experience with fast courses for highly educated people as well as slow courses for people with little education, and with courses at beginners level as well as advanced level. In addition I have been engaged in the planning and coordination of courses. I am a Qualified teacher of Dutch as a second language.
